The Vision Behind the Transformation
Every detail of this home's renovation — from the open-concept kitchen layout to the finish palette carried throughout the living areas, bedrooms, and bathrooms — was designed and managed by Kelly Peterson of Kel Design LLC.
Rather than simply updating finishes, Kelly approached Unit 3900 as a complete transformation — reimagining the space from the studs out. That meant redesigned ceilings and lighting plans, reworked layouts for better flow, and a thoughtful selection of materials and finishes carried consistently through every room.
Kelly is known for sourcing unique products and creative design solutions, often looking beyond what's available in traditional showrooms. On past projects, she has specified cabinetry crafted from stainless steel finished to resemble natural wood — an innovative option that combines the warmth of wood with the durability and practicality of steel, a detail especially valuable in Hawaii's climate.
